Case 112993: Webster Springs, West Virginia, is approximately 15 miles southwest of Sutton Lake and is a rural town located nearly in the center of the state. Directly east of Webster Springs are the Allegheny Mountains. At about 1:30 AM while sitting in her car, Kimberly [last name withheld] sighted what she called a “disc” that ascended from “the side of the mountain” and then hover. She described it as having “left a trail” and had a “flame’. The object then ascended and seemed to spin around at the same time. On her report she checked the “appeared solid”, “spun”, “vibrated” and “glowed” entries. According to the report, the object had a “dome”, “windows”, and was silver/chrome in color. Kimberly took five photographs and a short video. The entire event took approximately 15 minutes. The video seemed to show a faint, squared-off object with a bright white structure underneath emitting apparently what she referred to as a “flame”. Two of her photographs however are far clearer and even more mysterious.

Since 99% of all saucers don’t have enormous thrusters with fire comeing out…I’m going with a model rocket engine mounted on a toy saucer. Almost looks like it’s mounted on a lamppost. But I could be wrong.
It definitely was not a toy. This thing was huge. I was a few miles away and it was still this big. We’ve seen other things that cannot be explained from this same mountain.
For sure not a toy … its just Old Glory on a pole. Cmon now …

If this thing was a few miles away it sure is clear for a cell phone which are very poor quality far away. Also the shots of what looks like sparks in the video do look like a model rocket motor or fireworks attached to something.
This looks phoney baloney to me.
I honestly couldn’t care less about any of your opinions. The reason is, because I know how I filmed it, I know approximately how far away I was, I know what else everyone in town is talking about seeing and I have nothing to hide from nor to lie about. With that being said, I know that what you see here is exactly what I saw. Take it or leave it, it will always be a mystery to me and something that I will always remember. I hope one day that you naysayers can witness it too, so I can say that you too are “phoney baloney”.
Kimberly, You go girl! I am new to MUFON, but at least I know enough to wait and see what the official report says about your sighting. I know one thing it is not, a Chinese Lantern.

Kimberly …like I said I could be wrong. And I will be the first to apologize if I am. But your photo is odd. I’m sure you know it also. But being odd doesn’t mean a fake. Now that you know where to look on the mountain where these strange anomalies occurs I urge you to get more photos. I keep a fully charge digital camera in my truck all the time. Sorry Kimberly this photo and video looks like a saucer with a giant exhaust cone on the bottom. I don’t ever recall the classic saucer shaped craft with a exhaust cone spewing a blue gas like flame. Generally they have no visible signs of propulsion or exhaust. In the video it appears as though it’s wobbling on a post. Also shots of what looks like sparks. Is it possible you observed some kids screwing around on private property?
I am absolutely positive! I would stake my children and my grandchildren’s lives on it. I’m a teacher and have been for 17 years. I would never submit something unless I was positive of the authenticity of what I saw.
Fair enough Kimberly. It’s really a weird photo. I would suggest as did Mmiller..that you keep a digital camera handy if you pass by this mountain again. Cell phone pics are not the best. I don’t feel everyone disbelieves you..it’s just a really weird video and photo. Thank for shareing and reporting.

Looks to me like it could be one of ours, as in government. I say this because of the visible signs of propulsion or exhaust.
I wholeheartedly agree with Ricky. Kimberly what you captured on video is very strange and doesn’t fit the ” typical flying saucer ” description. Very weird. But so are craft that morph from saucers into airplanes…so there’s that. You seem sincere and and of sound mind. I belive you. Try to capture more photos to share with us.. That’s a very strange mountain you have there. Good luck and keep looking up. 🙂

Sorry folks this looks like a model attached to a lamppost with a single gas flame. The exhaust cone at the bottom of the “craft” is enormous which makes the saucer look out of proportion. As said above sparks and flames don’t eminate from the classic flying saucer. This also was not filmed from miles away by a phone as there is far too much detail. This is fake or misidentified.

Once again, your opinion means nothing to me. I KNOW what I saw, how far away it was , etc. I KNOW it doesn’t fit your “criteria”, but I will once again state I KNOW what I saw, I know KNOW how I filmed it, etc. I could care less if any of you believe me or not. One day, you will all owe me an apology for being honest with you all.
These fools saying anything about flames or visible propulsion/combustion/emissions this that or the other obviously have never heard of the Cash-Landrum incident in Huffman/Dayton Texas which is regarded as one of the most credible, if not the most credible and well documented sightings in UFO history. Guess what? There were flames pouring out underneath the craft which nearly touched down completely on a road out there. A bunch of black helicopters came from the east chasing it, dozens and dozens of credible witnesses…. I think I have a video of the same thing they saw with orange colored wisps of light coming out from underneath it like thrusters or flames. If anyone tells you flames don’t come out of UFO’s, they could just be working for secret programs or government programs to cover up the truth. The sightings are manmade craft that can barely leave near space aside from the orbs which are demons and demonic apparitions. They are preparing mankind for a demonic false flag alien invasion. Mankind will think they are seeking after aliens when they will be seeking knowledge from demons.
Travis..while the Cash/Landrum incident is inconclusive its pretty apparent it was a test vehicle that was highly radioactive and got away from our military. Helicopters were everywhere. Radiation that burns victims is very rare. Flames pouring out of craft are rare but not unheard of. The Zamora case comes to mind. So while flames do come out of ufos..it’s rare. What’s exceedingly rare is flames comeing out of the bottom of a classic saucer. They exhibit no visible means of propulsion or no exhaust. Perhaps Kimberly caught one who knows. As for the last part of your statement you are free to belive whatever you wish.

It was not filmed on Point Mountain, but was filmed facing towards the old Hamrick Farm up on Gauley which is located on what we call Cogar Mountain.
Kimberly, were you located between the Elk and Gauley facing east? I believe there has been previous activity farther out near Snowshoe but I’m not certain you were that far out.
I think some kids is pullin your leg. Puttin toys on a lamppost with sparklers and flames out in the woods gets city folk all riled up takin pitchers and all. We used to have fun like that when I wuz a youngin

Vanessa. Mr. Walters photos and Styrofoam model found in his attic were deemed as fakes.
Maybe yes, maybe no; most likely, I don’t know? The whole phenomenon is bizarre. The Puerto Rico UFO video depicts a flying object spliting into 2 equally-sized objects in mid flight! A flaming object? sure, why not. Known laws of physics do not apply.

Can easily tell it is a zoomed in pic which would put your sighting at exactly the distance you estimated. I didn’t see anywhere in your post where you describe it as anything other than “UFO”. I think it was a great catch. I’ve yet to experience anything odd in the skies, but I’m always looking hoping to get the opportunity like you did. Great photo
This clearly was NOT filmed from miles away. The “craft” is way out of proportion to be so far away . And if this was filmed with a cell phone..I have a very good camera on my phone and filming something at night from a mile away ends up looking like a pinpoint of light. Don’t understand the sparks on the video. Doesn’t make sense.
No need to attack Kimberly — clearly, she saw something and the picture posted is real. Comparisons to sightings similar to this one are highly relevant and help us get closer to understanding what we see. Let’s not harass folks who have the guts to share their stories — one day it could be you and you will want to be taken seriously.
I don’t care about those of you who don’t believe me. I know where I was, I know what I saw, I know how far away it approximately was, I know the pics and videos were taken with a Samsung Galaxy S20 FE. I know that I have continued to see things that cannot be explained as have several others who live here. If you are interested in seeing the other pics and videos feel free to ask.
Kimberly you saw what you saw and its good that you are a school teacher, your professional opinion is important to us Americans, I live in San Diego California and I saw strange stuff in the sky also, the truth is out there. Thanks
