The Arizona Historical Society Museum is the venue for the monthly Phoenix MUFON meetings. The Director and staff love having the MUFON gatherings in their Steele Auditorium, and consider the Phoenix Lights exhibit upstairs in the museum to be one of the all-time favorites, with enthusiastic, positive feedback from all visitors.
Director Tawn Downs approached Stacey Wright and Jim Mann of Phoenix MUFON to see if they were agreeable to a reception to be held for the local ufology research group’s honor, and to celebrate the favorable feedback the museum receives with the UFO subject being presented there. A resounding YES, OF COURSE was the answer given.
On Saturday, March 10, the Arizona Historical Society Museum did indeed honor Phoenix MUFON and all attendees to a reception following the monthly meeting, where guest speaker Linda Moulton Howe enlightened the audience with her lecture. Hors d’oeuvres and cocktails were enjoyed, along with hauntingly-beautiful Navajo flute accompaniment by flutist Lorrie Sarrafin. An aura photo booth operated by Vision Quest bookstore, and the fine collection of crystal and gem jewelry from Star Woman Crystals were the crowning touch to a very enjoyable afternoon.
What a wonderful way to honor the subject of ufology, especially from a state-run organization like the Arizona Historical Society Museum.
