TsIG – The TechnoSignature Intercept Grid Real Time Alert System Coming Soon to The MUFON Store! By Steve Foss

By Steve Foss, MUFON Florida State Section Director

MUFON is preparing to work with another organization to introduce what may become
the most comprehensive real-time UAP alert network yet developed. The effort grows
out of the earlier NICAP MADAR network, which was conceived by the late Fran Ridge,
longtime NICAP curator and an important contributor to instrument-based UAP
research.

MADAR used small sensor nodes—roughly the size of a cigarette pack—that connected
through a home network. These units monitored sudden compass changes and shifts in
barometric pressure. When unusual readings were detected, investigators could
compare the data with nearby MUFON sighting reports. Those comparisons helped
demonstrate the value of pairing physical sensor data with witness reports and case
investigations.

Following Fran Ridge’s passing in early 2026, the MADAR concept has continued to
evolve. Its next generation is being developed as the TechnoSignature Intercept Grid, or
TsIG, with the flagship device known as the TsIG Intercept 5.

TechnoSignature Intercept Grid (TsIG), founded by Steve Foss, is focused on building
rugged, multi-sensor detection platforms for UAP field investigation. The goal is to
provide investigators with timestamped, calibrated, and reviewable physical data that
can support serious scientific inquiry.

The TsIG Intercept 5 is designed as a stationary detection station for deployment at
active investigation sites, high-report-frequency areas, and MUFON chapter
headquarters. It is intended to provide real-time text and email alerts to operators and
subscribers when sensor activity meets alert criteria.

For MUFON members and investigators, the significance is practical: a broader alert
network can help investigators respond more quickly, compare independent sensor
readings with incoming reports, and build stronger case files using both witness
testimony and physical measurements.

MUFON expects these units to soon be available through the MUFON Store. If widely
deployed, the network could strengthen grassroots, citizen-supported investigation by
linking field investigators, chapters, sensor stations, and alert subscribers through a
shared real-time map and notification system.

The promise of this approach is not simply faster notification. It is the possibility of
coordinated, instrument-supported investigation at scale. By building on MADAR’s
foundation and expanding the technology through TsIG, MUFON can help advance a
more disciplined, data-centered approach to UAP research.
