On Thursday, February 19, 2026, President Donald Trump authorized the Pentagon and other agencies to begin gathering all files related to UFO and UAP.
Trump posted on Truth Social, “Based on the tremendous interest shown, I will be directing the Secretary of War, and other relevant Departments and Agencies, to begin the process of identifying and releasing Government files related to alien and extraterrestrial life, unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP), and unidentified flying objects (UFOs), and any and all other information connected to these highly complex, but extremely interesting and important, matters. GOD BLESS AMERICA!”
Adding to the intrigue was the fact that recently Lara Trump, The President’s Daughter-In-Law Lara Trump was quoted in The Hill as saying she heard Trump had a speech on aliens already in the can and ready to go at the right time.
Even more intrigue was generated this week when former President Obama stated that “Aliens are real,” however he went on to say he never saw one and did not think there were dead alien bodies at Area 51. He later backtracks saying that what he meant was that the universe is so vast that life must exist elsewhere.
When Trump was asked for a comment on Obama’s statement, Trump was blunt. “Well, he gave classified information. He’s not supposed to be doing that.”
When a reporter shot back at Trump asking if that means aliens are real, Trump responded, ” “Well, I don’t know if they’re real or not. I can tell you he gave classified information. He’s not supposed to be doing that. He made a big mistake. He took it out of classified information,”
